ATTITUDES TO DISCRIMINATION IN SCOTLAND

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

This report is based on the findings of a module of questions asked in the 2002 Scottish Social Attitudes survey. The project was instigated and developed collaboratively by a team comprised of the following organisations:

  • Commission for Racial Equality
  • Disability Rights Commission
  • Equal Opportunities Commission
  • Stonewall Scotland
  • Scottish Executive Social Research
  • Scottish Executive Equalities Unit
  • NatCen Scotland

The authors would like to thank all the individuals and organisations that have contributed considerable amounts of time, and in some cases financial support, to this venture. All organisations have had the opportunity to comment on the final draft of this report, but responsibility for the analysis and conclusions contained here lie with the authors alone.

Last, but by no means least, we would like to express our thanks to the 1,600 or so people who kindly agreed to give us their valuable time to take part in the survey. We hope that some of them will come across this report and read about themselves with interest.
