Scotland Performs measures and reports on progress of government in Scotland against the National Performance Framework in creating a more successful country, with opportunities for all to flourish through increasing sustainable economic growth.
Progress towards the Purpose is tracked by 7 Purpose Targets and it is supported by 16 National Outcomes and 50 National Indicators, covering key areas of health, justice, environment, economy, and education, to measure progress.
Equality breakdowns illustrate how protected groups are progressing towards the achievement of National Outcomes, particularly ‘we have tackled the significant inequalities in Scottish society’.
Equality breakdowns for national indicators are reported on the Scotland Performs website. Where available, these can be found under the heading for each National Indicator ‘What more do we know about this National Indicator?’. The data is in the data download section.
An update on the Scottish Government’s National Performance Framework indicators can be found in the Draft Budget 2016-17: Scotland Performs document. Pages 18 – 28 outline the National Performance Framework indicators which have been selected as relevant to the Equal Opportunities Committee.
