Section 60 Code of Practice
The Section 60 Code of Practice incorporates guidance on both the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act and the Environmental Information Regulations. It stresses in particular the best practice to be followed in providing advice and assistance to requesters, and promotes the importance of proactively publishing information. Additionally, it sets clear expectations as regards the disclosure of the full financial implications of long term and high value contracts such as PFI/PPP contracts.

Section 61 Code of Practice
The Section 61 Code of Practice provides guidance to Scottish public authorities as to the practice which it would, in the opinion of the Ministers, be desirable for the authorities to follow in connection with the keeping, management and destruction of the authorities records.
This version of the Code, revised following consultation with the Commissioner and the Keeper of the Records of Scotland, came into force on 16 December 2011 and can be downloaded here.
